Corn Chowder s

      Yields: 8 Servings

Ingredients

14 cups Water
2 cups Freeze-Dried Corn (ground)
1 cups Freeze-Dried Peas
1 1/2 cups Instant Mashed Potatoes
1 1/2 cups Powdered Milk
1/2 teaspoon Ground Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Chopped Parsley
2 boxes Leek Soup Mix
3 boxes Ready-Crisp Bacon (chopped)


 

Instructions

AT HOME:
Use a food processor to grind Corn to a rough powder.
Combine Corn, Peas, Mashed Potatoes, Powdered Milk, Pepper, and Parsley in a ziplock bag.
Pack Leek Soup and Bacon separately.

IN CAMP:
Place Corn, Peas, Mashed Potatoes, Powdered Milk, Pepper, Parsley, and Leek Soup in a large pot.
Cut or tear bacon into bite-size chunks and add to pot.
Bring mixture to a boil and reduce heat to simmer, stirring frequently.
Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently.
