Jerky Gumbo s

      Yields: 8 Servings

Ingredients

16 cups Water
2 cups Beef Jerky
3/4 cups Corn (Freeze-Dried)
3/4 cups Peas (Freeze-Dried)
1/2 cup Diced Carrots (Dehydrated)
2 packages Gumbo Mix
1 packets Crushed Red Pepper


 

Instructions

AT HOME:
Use meat scissors to cut Jerky into bite-size chunks.
Combine Jerky, Corn, Peas, and Carrots in a ziplock bag (or 2 bags if necessary).
Pack Gumbo Mix and Red Pepper separately.

IN CAMP:
Place Jerky, Beef, Corn, Peas, and Carrots in a large pot.
Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Stir in Gumbo Mix and Crushed Red Pepper.
Simmer for 25 to 30 minutes, until the rice is cooked.
