2000 Camp Oljato Report

Summer camp was again a major success this year. We continued the tradition began in the fifties of attending Camp Oljato. 24 boys completed 64 merit badges, many were Eagle requirements. More importantly we had 15 boys in the different skills courses, which advanced them closer to the rank of First Class. In the over all troop competition, our boys took second place, beating all the regular troops in camp.

We had two one-mile swimmers, Kyle and Jeff W. Kyle beat his dad by one body length and we are sure that Kyle and a few others will remind Jeff on a regular basis! Great job both of you!!!

Jeff B. took second place in the Camp Oljato golf tournament and won himself a membership in the prestigious Camp Oljato country club. Tiger, look out!!!

John F. won the overnighter skill award and Madison P. won the general skills award.

Alex L. received the Cool Guy award in Archery for being the most entertaining scout in Archery ... not a surprise considering his entertainment-related bloodline!
