Fundraising
Troop 233 relies on several fundraisers to meet the expenses of the outings and special events that give the Scouts in our Troop a high-quality scouting experience. If you would like to make a direct donation to the Troop, contact the Committee Chair or Treasurer. Donations to the Boy Scouts of America and Troop 233 may be tax deductible.

In addition to direct donations, several fundraisers benefit the Troop:

Cash-for-Cars
Benefit the Troop each time you shop at participating stores.

eScrip is proven to be a fantastic resource for fundraising where participating business partners contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to the Troop.
To register with eScrip and start earning money for the Troop with every purchase, go to the eScrip website and register using the group number 138051486 for Boy Scout Troop 233. If you're already registered with another school or group, you can have your donations split among up to three different groups.
Here's How it Works
eScrip and V-DAC have partnered to provide a cash-for-cars service for Troop 233. Donate your car instead of trading it in, and Troop 233 gets the net proceeds of the sale.
If you have a vehicle you want to donate, click the link below and fill out the online forms. V-DAC does all the rest.
V-DAC is a totally free service. All pickup, transportation, sales, and administration costs are covered by the revenue from each vehicle. Troop 233 gets only checks for net revenue--never bills. Any shortfalls in vehicle revenue are covered by the program and never charged to the Troop.
Vehicle Donation Program
NOTE: The V-DAC service does not include appraisals or cover any expenses donors may have in preparing vehicles or paperwork. V-DAC is forbidden by law from making or paying for appraisals of donated vehicles.
Santa Clara County Council conducts an annual Friends of Scouting (FOS) campaign, asking Scouting parents and community members to financially support the council's operations and continued service to youth and their leaders.
Troop 233 receives council recognition when 100% of the Friends of Scouting (FOS) forms are returned (even if no donation is indicated). Look for your FOS form early in the year and return it promptly to our FOS chair.

Occasionally, Troop 233 arranges for a local restaurant to donate a percentage of their proceeds for a specific night. Look for a flyer announcing the special night, and then bring the flyer and your hungry family to the restaurant that night for a delicious meal that benefits our Troop.

Several times during the year, Troop 233 gives Scouts an opportunity to support the Troop and add to their personal "Scout Accounts" through product sales and other fundraising events.
For a limited time, Troop 233 will be selling Pride Cards (discount cards) for $10 each. The profits will go into each Scout's individual "Scout Account." You can pick up your Pride Cards at a Troop meeting or contact the Fundraising Chair.
